temple-hadrian-01.jpg - 35935 Bytes

The Temple in honour of Hadrian was completed in AD 145 by Antoninus Pius. The northern side of the temple was incorporated into the front of a papal customs house in the late 17th century. The very same building later became the Roman stock exchange, an institution it still houses today.
