In the centre of the picture is the Temple of the Divine Elagabalus standing on its raised platform. Note the embankments at the base of the portico.
At the very bottom of the image you can just glimpse the crest of the Colosseum. To its right stands the great Temple to Venus and Roma designed by emperor Hadrian.
